Coverack, CornwallReinstatement Following Flood Damage
In the summer of 2017 the South West of England endured significant levels of rainfall over short period of time. The small village of Coverack suffered extensive flooding as a result of the rain, and a footpath collapsed washing large sections of wall and debris through the rear window of a small cottage on the sea front.
Martin Perry Associates were appointed by the owner of the cottage, via the Insurer, to manage the stripout, sanitising and reinstatement of the property, which included partial rebuilding of the rear wall.
Acting as Contract Administrator a detailed Schedule of Works was completed and issued to contractors from our approved list for competitive pricing, and following appointment of the chosed contractor we were on hand to oversee the works through to completion.
The property has now been reinstated back to its former condition, with some future proofing measures installed as per our recommendation and specification.
The works were completed on time and in budget, and the tenant is pleased to be back enjoying all this prime location has to offer.
