About Martin Perry Associates

Martin Perry Associates are a Structural Engineering and Surveying Consultancy, based in south east Cornwall. We have many years of experience in all aspects of construction, and are able to offer a multitude of services, from Structural Design, to Party Wall Surveying, and Contract Administration.

As Structural Engineers we work with several local Architects, Developers and Building Contractors, and our projects range from the design of a simple beam, to grand scale new buildings. We are experienced in working with traditional historic buildings of natural stone and cob construction, and are equally at home designing and detailing the latest construction techniques, including steel and timber frames, ICF and traditional masonry.

We are Chartered Surveyors and a RICS registered firm. We offer a range of surveying services including reports on construction defects, damp problems, project feasibility and Party Wall Surveying. An Overview of our Services

For domestic scale projects, including extensions and roof conversions, we can offer an all-inclusive service, from gaining Planning Permission or Listed Building Consent, through to provision of Building Regulations Applications and construction details.

We regularly work with Loss Adjusters and Insurance Companies, acting as Contract Administrator in order to rebuild properties following damage due to issues such as flood, fire or subsidence. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of service to our clients during what can be a very tough time, in order to try to make the process as straightforward as possible.

We are experienced Party Wall Surveyors, and are happy to offer free telephone advice on the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. As expert Party Wall Surveyors, we can help you to successfully negotiate any Party Wall matter affecting your property.

What type of clients do you work with?

We work with a varying range of clients, from homeowners and small local builders, to large national and international companies. Whatever the scale of your project, please feel free to get in touch.

What is your typical turn around time for a design project?

Our turnaround time varies throughout the year, but we always try to provide an accurate and honest timescale at quotation stage. We try to keep some spare capacity to help clients out that may have been let down by others, or where an emergency situation has arisen. We always aim to respond to queries in as short of time as possible.

Do you provide free quotations?

We are pleased to offer free quotations for projects, where possible. In some cases, where the full scope of works is unknown, we charge an initial fee for a site visit or meeting, following which, we can provide a detailed and accurate fee proposal for the whole project.
